Abstract This paper describes the performance of a Solar PV-powered switched reluctance motor with low torque ripple in electric vehicle applications. The prominence motors has become significant industry, because its ineradicable characteristics like simple structure, absence rotor windings, less maintenance and self-starting capability. However, limitation SRM is high nonlinear characteristics. various DC –DC converters analysed this work results are compared terms speed percentage. switching time converter controlled by MPPT controller, which uses incremental conductance Integrator method. presented Boost Cuk converter. These two types designed MATLAB software their while supplying motor. suitability proposed system simulation results. From results, it confirmed that PV fed Switched improved implementing type Hence, suitable for applications, require mechanical vibrations.
